Our 3D Printing Services

For budget-friendly 3D printing services, FDM is your go-to, ideal for basic projects. For a mid-range option with a balance of cost and quality, consider SLS, suitable for medium-scale production. Lastly, for top-tier precision in massive production, SLA is the premium choice.

Stereolithography (SLA) leverages liquid resin to construct 3D models with complex geometric designs. This method allows for a variety of finishes, executed with a high degree of precision to bring your detailed projects to life. For more information on SLA, click here.

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) utilizes powdered materials such as nylon and polyamide to craft 3D models with intricate geometric designs. This technology offers a range of finishes, all achieved with meticulous precision. For more information on SLS, click here.

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) employs thermoplastic filaments to fabricate 3D models layer by layer, facilitating the creation of complex geometric structures. This technology ensures a range of finishes, all realized with remarkable precision and detail. For more information on FDM, click here.

Materials for 3D Printing Parts

Explore the vast array of materials available for your 3D printing projects at Jaycon. From durable metals to flexible resins, we offer a selection tailored to meet the diverse needs of your projects. Our experts are on hand to guide you in choosing the right material to ensure the success of your endeavor, be it for a prototype or a final product.

image of PLA (polylactic acid)

PLA (polylactic acid)

PLA is known for its ease of printing. It has a relatively low printing temperature, which reduces the risk of warping and nozzle clogs. This makes it suitable for a wide range of 3D printers, including desktop models.

Produces 3D-printed parts with a smooth and glossy surface finish. It’s an excellent choice for visual prototypes and artistic creations.

ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)

ABS is known for its strength, toughness, and durability. It can withstand mechanical stress, making it suitable for functional parts and prototypes that need to endure wear and impact.

is versatile and can be used in various applications, including automotive parts, consumer goods, and electronics casings. Its mechanical properties make it a popular choice for functional engineering components.

CPE (co-polyester)

CPE is a versatile 3D printing material that combines the best properties of other filaments like PLA and ABS. It offers a good balance of strength, impact resistance, flexibility, and ease of printing.

is known for its durability and resistance to impact and stress. It can withstand mechanical loads and is less prone to shattering compared to materials like PLA.

Image of PC 3d printing

PC (polycarbonate)

Polycarbonate is known for its exceptional impact resistance. It can withstand heavy loads and is less prone to breaking or shattering compared to many other 3D printing materials.

has a high heat resistance, with a glass transition temperature (Tg) typically around 140-150°C (284-302°F). This makes it suitable for applications exposed to elevated temperatures.

Nylon (polyamide)

Nylon is known for its exceptional strength and durability. It offers excellent mechanical properties, including high tensile strength and impact resistance, making it suitable for demanding applications.

Has a degree of flexibility, which allows it to withstand bending and impact without breaking. It can be used for parts that require some level of resilience.

Surface Finishes for 3D Printing

We offer a spectrum of surface finishes for CNC turning to meet the most demanding engineering standards. From mirror-like polished surfaces to fine bead blasting, we employ techniques that enhance corrosion resistance, improve wear characteristics, and ensure optimal functionality while adhering to the specified Ra values.

Painting the surface of a part improves its aesthetic appearance and can provide brand recognition to consumers. In addition, painting can have a protective effect on parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

These frequently asked questions can help better understand Jaycon’s expertise, processes, and approach to confidentiality.

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a process of creating three-dimensional objects from digital designs. It works by layering material (typically plastic, metal, resin, or composite) one thin cross-section at a time until the final object is formed.

The most used materials at Jaycon are PLA & TPU (build material) and Natural PVA (support material). Other materials may be available upon request. Please note that other prototyping processes, such as CNC and resin casting, may allow for a wider range of material choices. Our team works closely with our clients to understand and suggest the best types of materials to be used in our clients’ projects.
