Frequently Asked Questions

These frequently asked questions can help better understand Jaycon’s expertise, processes, and approach to confidentiality.

Circuit board assembly is the process of populating and soldering electronic components onto a printed circuit board (PCB). It's a critical step in electronics manufacturing, as it transforms bare PCBs into functional electronic devices.

The main components in circuit board assembly include the PCB itself, electronic components (resistors, capacitors, microchips, etc.), soldering materials, solder paste, and a soldering process (often reflow or wave soldering).

SMT involves placing components directly onto the surface of the PCB and soldering them using solder paste and a reflow process. THT, on the other hand, involves inserting component leads through holes in the PCB and soldering them on the opposite side. SMT is more commonly used in modern electronics due to its smaller form factor and automated assembly capabilities.
