The challenge
The client approached Jaycon to design and manufacture a themed AR headset for an indoor kart attraction. Our team worked on the ergonomics and overall design of this 2-piece set, including mechanical engineering around the client-provided AR reflective lens.
What we did
In order to comply with their strict requirements prior to mass manufacturing, a battery of tests was conducted, among them drop, scratch, bend, wash/water absorption, and others. Our team also provided to the client full circuit board design and assembly services, including firmware developmet
The process
We refine the concept and run a full design-for-manufacturing pass so the product can be built reliably at volume.
Mechanical and electrical engineering, enclosures, circuit boards, and firmware, developed in-house.
We build and validate prototypes to confirm fit, function, and manufacturability before production.
Tooling, molding, and assembly at production volume across our US and China facilities.
Retail-ready packaging and full box build, ready to ship.
Services performed
A full DFM pass so the design can be built reliably at volume.
Hardware development and integration.
End-to-end product and industrial design.
Plastic parts molded at production volume.
Rapid 3D-printed prototypes for validation.
Populated, soldered, and tested PCBs.
Final product assembly, ready to ship.
Bring us a prototype, a sketch, or just the idea, and we'll take it from design through manufacturing.
