The challenge
This general aviation flight data logger was proposed by an avid pilot who brought it to Jaycon as a rough breadboard prototype.
What we did
With the work of our industrial designers and mechanical engineers, the final shape was achieved for aerodynamics and manufacturability. Combined with the client's firmware and software, thousands went into production, where Jaycon injection molded and post-processed the plastics, also fabricating and assembling the PCBs.
The process
We refine the concept and run a full design-for-manufacturing pass so the product can be built reliably at volume.
Mechanical and electrical engineering, enclosures, circuit boards, and firmware, developed in-house.
We build and validate prototypes to confirm fit, function, and manufacturability before production.
Tooling, molding, and assembly at production volume across our US and China facilities.
Retail-ready packaging and full box build, ready to ship.
Services performed
3D-printed parts and prototypes.
Precision CNC-machined parts.
Populated, soldered, and tested PCBs.
Industrial design and product form.
Bring us a prototype, a sketch, or just the idea, and we'll take it from design through manufacturing.
